  • Govan Brown partners with Make-A-Wish for its annual charity concert

Govan Brown is a full service, national construction management firm specializing in commercial interiors for the corporate, retail, and hospitality markets. Since 1994, they’ve completed thousands of projects for various clients from most industries. Headquartered in Toronto, they have offices in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Ottawa.

The team at Govan Brown puts a strong emphasis on contributing to charitable initiatives via fundraising, volunteering, donations, and sponsorships. Last year, they launched their first charity concert - Cureapalooza. The event featured Juno Award winning rock band the Arkells with special guests Birds of Bellwoods and raised $50,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. In 2018, Make-A-Wish® Toronto & Central Ontario is thrilled to be a beneficiary of Cureapalooza, Vol. II.

This year’s event will feature three Canadian bands and proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish® and Junior Achievement of Central Ontario. The band names will be officially announced on August 1.

“We are excited to be partnering with Make A Wish Toronto & Central Ontario for Cureapalooza 2018.” says Joseph Kirk, Senior Vice President, Govan Brown. “The charity’s commitment to our young people and their long-standing track record for supporting children across the globe aligns with Govan Brown’s commitment to supporting our youth in the communities we work in. We are hopeful that this will blossom into a long-standing relationship with Make-A-Wish.”

“The team at Govan Brown is clearly committed to investing in a cause they truly care about,” says Cari Miller, Manager, Fund Development, Make-A-Wish Toronto & Central Ontario. “Make-A-Wish is thrilled to benefit from Cureapalooza. What a fun way to raise money to create life-changing wishes for children living with critical illnesses.”
