  • Ultimate Software Puts People First—Including Our Wish Children!

Ultimate Software, based in Weston, Florida, is a global developer of cloud human capital management (HCM) solutions. Since its founding in 1990, Ultimate has focused on creating a “People First” culture, which has led to some amazing fundraising initiatives over the years.

At its 2018 Global Delivery Annual Conference in July, more than 1,000 Ultimate employees gathered and took part in some innovative fundraising for Make-A-Wish®, supporting both the local Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida chapter and, on behalf of Ultimate’s Canadian employees, Make-A-Wish® Toronto & Central Ontario.

The conference featured Make-A-Wish in a number of ways, including a wish reveal that made a special young man feel like anything was possible. Another wish child had the opportunity to design T-shirts for the event, and then see her design come to life when the shirts were worn by Ultimate employees. She felt like a real star, being on site to add her signature. They also took the time to learn about Make-A-Wish and the impact that transformational wishes have on the lives of children with critical illnesses.

“Make-A-Wish is an amazing organization, helping so many wonderful children across the country and the world,” says Todd Nelson, VP, Global Delivery, Ultimate Software. “We’re so proud to be able to partner with Make-A-Wish and to support its great work in the community—not only by granting a few special wishes, but even getting to wear some cool, Ultimate-themed Make-A-Wish T-shirts created by a wish grantee in the process. Together, we’re able to help make a major difference in the lives of these children.”

“Our partnership with Ultimate Software has been simply incredible,” says Cari Miller, manager, fund development, Make-A-Wish Toronto & Central Ontario. “What a fantastic group of people who came together to help make life-changing wishes come true. The funds donated will make a real impact on lives of our wish children. We extend our gratitude to Ultimate Software and thank its employees for their heartfelt generosity.”

In four phenomenal days of fundraising, Ultimate Software raised $30,000 for Make-A-Wish Toronto & Central Ontario.
