Six Questions with Sicard RV

Sicard RV has been a Make-A-Wish® Toronto & Central Ontario partner since 2017, helping to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illness. The company is engaged in our Adopt-A-Wish® program and grants wishes for local children it is matched with. In two years, Sicard RV has raised an incredible $22,000.

We had the opportunity to speak with Nicole Serwatuk and Ashley Rego from Sicard RV about their involvement with Make-A-Wish®.

Oshawa Centre’s Gift Card Exchange Grants Life-Changing Wishes

Make-A-Wish® Toronto & Central Ontario is pleased to be a beneficiary of Oshawa Centre’s Gift Card Exchange initiative. In January, the program gave shoppers an opportunity to trade unused gift cards for an Oshawa Centre gift card, which is valid at any store in the Oshawa Centre mall. The unused gift cards were then donated to Make-A-Wish Toronto & Central Ontario, which will help our wish granting team grant wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Volunteer Spotlight: Susan

From a very young age, Susan Lott Bernava has been deeply committed to charitable work in her community. It was in 2003 that she first heard of Make-A-Wish and began her journey as a volunteer wish granter in the Niagara region.


“I’m very much a people person,” Susan says. “Volunteering with Make-A-Wish is the perfect fit for me because I love working directly with families. Many of these children have been through traumatic events and it feels great to be able to help them find the happiness they deserve.”


Make-A-Wish Rope for Hope Raises $1.3 Million to Grant Wishes for Children with Critical Illnesses

Thanks to 575 participants across the country and generous supporters, Make-A-Wish® Canada is pleased to announce that its national signature fundraising event, Make-A-Wish Rope for Hope, raised $1.3 million in 2018.
